Julia32: Kogan's fiery red set

Nary an Australian political issue arises without Kogan turning it into a TV or a joke. While the announcement of the Julia32 comes as no surprise, the colour of the set may shock.

To celebrate the transition of power in the Australian Labor party, the Kogan Julia32 comes in a striking shade of red commemorating the fiery locks of our new PM Julia Gillard. On its website, Kogan says "[the] Julia32 has very similar specifications to the Kevin37, but is smaller, cheaper and more visually pleasing". Cheaper? Is Kogan's recommended pricing a subtle jab at our illustrious leader?

What the fierce red telly may lack in subtlety it certainly makes up for in features. The 32-inch LCD panel delivers a full HD picture with a built-in HD tuner and PVR for AU$499 plus delivery.

I hope not! Nothing wrong with a bit of publicity, even for something as silly as this...
