JVC Everio GZ-HD5

By Derek Fung on 06 October 2009

The HD5 features a 60GB hard disk, high-def 1920x1080 recording and a 10x optical zoom lens. Unfortunately, it records in JVC's MPEG2-TS format, rather than the more popular AVCHD format.

CNET Australia hasn't reviewed the HD5, but we have reviewed the nearly identical JVC Everio GZ-HD6. Key differences include hard disk capacity (60GB on the HD5, 120GB on the HD6) and the HD5's lack of a lens hood and headphone jack.
