If you're not interested in being able to record HD footage, you'll find this standard definition camcorder a good bet.

Like this camera a lot. I'm making my first amateur film with this camcorder.
- Good: * DVD quality (not such a good shooting ONLY by night)
* small, easy to use - Bad: * not so good, when filming by night
* autofocus isn't so good
- Good: * DVD quality (not such a good shooting ONLY by night)

What a camcorder.
Great on Image quality and is packed with features.
Heaps of capacity and I can use Micro SD cards as well.
The software provided is fun as well with heaps of editing options. I ended up purchasing the sexy red one.
- Good: Packed with heaps of features.
Great video image quality. - Bad: Found none yet.

Purchased Christmas 2008. Great size, easy to setup and use. Video quality good, but at 8.xmbps (highest setting) not as good as I would have expected for SD format. Agree with other comments that still images are poor (specs show it is equivalent to "0.8" Megapixel. Some reviews say the hard disk is small at 30GB, but on the highest quality, it still gives over 7 hours of recording. Remember, the same size hard disk on a High Def model is about the same recording time due to higher quality. User manual for the 330 is basic, but enough for most functions. The touch screen (wich in fact is not the screen itself, but a slider and some buttons) is neat, but perhaps a little fiddly. Not overly impressed with the anti-shake function (comparing it with a 15y.o Canon tape camcorder with this function), so I was a bit disappointed here. I like the variable speed zoom in/out, depending how much pressure you place on the zoom lever.
- Good: Great size; Quick start; software is pretty good, especially for video/still camera to PC backup (one button touch); variable speed zoom. Has remote control (handy if tripod mounted)
- Bad: Still quality poor at lesss than 1MP (640X480 pre-set ) The docking station does not come with this model; Video quality quite good, but not excellent

This is my first camcorder and I am very happy with it. It is very handy and slick to use and I
- Good: *It is small enough to fit in a little handbag.
*It turns on really fast
*The computer program that it came with is really good, and quite easy to learn but to do some of the things on it you have to buy a program. :(
*Is easy to use.
*The still mode is allright (I'm not too critical about my photos, so to me they weren't as bad as the other reviews stated) but if you take a photo at night or in artificial light it is near impossible to get an un-blurred image.
*It is comfortable to hold.
*I got mine really cheap on ebay ($450) but the only thing was that it came from hong kong so it had a japanese powerpoint plug on the charger. They sent me an adapter though, so it's all good!
*It was really easy to get started with. I took it out of the box, turned it on and started filming!!! - Bad: *When taking a photo or filming at night or in artificial light, the quality is really poor. This is probobly the only real fallback I've noticed with this camcorder. At night or in artificial light, it is really hard to get an unblurred still and you get a blurred trail in movies.
*On the computer program, to use some of the tools you have to buy a program seperately (grrrrr).
- Good: *It is small enough to fit in a little handbag.
