JVC Everio GZ-MG505
By Lori Grunin on 03 August 2006
A well-designed hard-disk-based camcorder, the JVC Everio GZ-MG505 produces video and stills that look great on TV. But its price might make you hit Pause.

- Good: Easy to use menus, great sound with the add on mic, easy to hold and feels more secure than any camera i have ever used, drop protection for the HDD
- Bad: Poor battery life with supplied battery, hard to fit camera in any sort of carry case with large capacity battery attached!
Just the easiest to use camcorder ever !
Video on the PC in my case was quiet good so i can only assume there is more to the quality on the pc than just simply transfering it

- Good: Hard Disk, Easy Quick PC Transfer, Size, Controls, Look
- Bad: Video image quality not the best for the price. Battery that comes with the camera drains way too quick
Everything A1 except the video quality

- Good: Small and light
Stores loads of video compared to other models - Bad: Must use the LCD for shooting
Great little compact camcorder
