Kogan may sell iPads and Galaxy Tabs through its online store, but the company is hoping to make a splash with its new, self-branded tablet computer — a 10-inch model running Google's Ice Cream Sandwich version of the Android platform.

The new Kogan Agora tablet is available in two internal storage variants; an 8GB model for AU$179 and a 16GB for AU$199.

"While the new iPad is no doubt resolutionary, it does come with a comparatively hefty price tag," said the company's owner Ruslan Kogan in a statement. "We've been working hard to bring the latest technology to everyone, not just those who can afford $800 for a gadget".

The tablets run on 1.2GHz processors with 1GB RAM. They also feature HDMI connectivity and micro-SD card slots for memory expansion. Both tablets are available now, and come with a 12-month warranty and a 7-day money-back guarantee.

I love the Agora 10" 16GB Tablet - Powered by Android ICS!. I think it is great, and love the price... The unit is just right for me... and does all that I want and need for my daily use. I think others will like it as much as I do. Having a lot of fun with this new unit and take it everywhere I go. five stars... good work Kogan. Recommend it.

Does sounds very impressive, will be interested to see what the screen is like... but for that price... WOW

Kogan is showing that as Pre Sale special, any indications what the final price will hit at??

I do believe that it is a single core A8 processor but given that it is running stock android, it should still be quick.

2mp camera without a flash, really don't see the point of even putting it in.

A 10inch capacative screen for under $200 is hard enough let alone with these specs. Kogan i am really impressed.
