Impressive reporting, one photo from Cnet and the rest ripped of apple.com, this is truly Australian journalism as its best.

Like everything else apple....TOO expensive. Given the exchange rate, one can only assume that we Australians are being ripped off, when compared to prices in the US.

Actually BobR, the Macbook Air is an ommission. When you compare prices of higher end systems that are customised, they tend to be cheaper than customised systems from Dell and co. For example, my Macpro with the same basic specs is $1300 cheaper than a Dell system. The Macbook Air on the otherhand is overpriced, costing as much as a MBP yet having the performance of an iPod on steroids.
