The good:

  • Harmon Kardon speakers
  • Huge range of connectivity options
  • Bright display
  • Automatic playback of CD/DVDs

The bad:

  • Integrated burner a little noisy
  • Performance feels a little sluggish

The bottomline:

The M40 boasts an impressive array of the latest notebook technologies, especially for those with a multimedia bent, although it could do with running a little quieter and cooler.
