Sony VAIO VGN-AR18GP User reviews

By Asher Moses on 02/08/2006

More Sony reviews , RRP: AU$5499.00

The good:

  • Blu-ray drive
  • Great raw performance
  • HDMI output
  • High quality screen
  • Plenty of bundled software

The bad:

  • Current dearth of Blu-ray content
  • No TV tuner
  • Bulky
  • Poor battery life

The bottomline:

If you're happy to wait a few months for more Blu-ray content to land, the AR18GP is a powerful, multimedia-rich laptop whose only glaring omission is a TV tuner.

Everything about it is bad, it's bulky and performance isn't all that great for how much it costs. Wish I bought something else

I WILL BUY THIS PRODUCT IN ABOUT A YEAR.

Pros: IT HAS GOT THE LATEST BLU-RAY DRIVE AND 2.16GHz INTEL CORE DUO PROCESSOR AND 1GB OF RAM WITH WUXGA LCD SCREEN.

Cons: THERE IS NO TV TUNER CARD AND IS HEAVY WEIGHING ABOUT 3.8 KGS WHICH IS NOT GOOD FOR A NOTEBOOK PC IT SHOULD BE LESS THAN 2 KGS.
