Lexmark launches SMB printer

Printer manufacturer Lexmark has unveiled a new offering aimed at the small- to medium-size business market.

The Lexmark X9350 is an office AIO (all-in-one) printer, scanner, copier and fax machine. The key features include a 33.6k fax, auto duplexer (for double-sided printing), 50 page automatic document feeder, 2.4-inch colour LCD, 48 bit colour scanner and "quick start" function.

The X9350 can reportedly print 32 black and white pages per minute (ppm) and 27 ppm in colour. It has 802.11g wireless connectivity, a standard Ethernet port, as well as support for PictBridge, USB and a range of memory cards.

"It [the X9350] moves us into another area. We've been very dominant in the lower end of all-in-ones ... but now we're going into more of the business [market]," Stephen Waugh, Lexmark Consumer Printer Division general manager, told journalists gathered in Surfer's Paradise, Queensland as part of the company's Indy 300 sponsorship.

The printer will be available from December for AU$499.

Luke Anderson travelled to the Gold Coast as a guest of Lexmark.
