LG Prada KE850
By Ella Morton on 04 October 2007
The KE850 looks like something that's fallen from a plinth in an art gallery but suffers from a few touch-related problems.

- Good: great photos, nice Mp3 player, quicker to use address book and dial than most phones, great apps, pdf viewer is nice, good external speaker, beautiful object.
- Bad: The photo album is strangely slow - it's quicker to flick throuigh the photo's full screen than use the thumbnail veiwer! Doesn't take Micro-SDHD, so 2GB max.
I've had one for a month or two now. ALthough I found the touch screen and sms-ing difficult at first, I find it really quick and easy now, and I'm not doing anything very different to before - you just learn the feel of it. It's not a wanna be Iphone for me... I had all that GPS, video call, net access on an previous phone and never used any of it. Maybe the Iphone is better, but it's not working in Australia yet. It's odd everyone says it gets dirty - has anyone seen a phone that doesn't? This is a simple and beautiful phone.

- Good: small, light, sexy,
- Bad: sometimesw mine freeses and i have to remove the battery to get it to start again.
ive had the prada fone for about a month. i have not experienced any problems! someone said there wasnt a loudspeaker...there is, i use it all the time. the camera is great, and as for txting, if u give it half a chance its perfectly fine!! like any new fone you have to get use to it.

- Good: none
- Bad: breaks too easily
expensive
no refunds available
warranty useless
warning! do not buy this phone. You would expect an $800 phone to last longer that a week. the screen cracked internally with no mis use. The store won't refund/repair. they sent it to lg who refused to repair/refund and now we have a useless phone and have to pay $49 for their trouble. where are our consumer's rights? they said that it was accidental misuse, how can we prove it wasn't at all?

- Good: Looks great!
- Bad: None as yet - this could change once i have it fixed!
I have had some problems with the phone. First day I had it I put the charger in only for half the phone to fall apart when I removed it! Two weeks later and numerous phone calls, I managed to get this fixed.
NOW - when anyone calls my phone the line echoes on their end. Everyone gets frustrated calling me! I have had to put the sim car into an old Nokia phone until I have the energy and patients to deal with incompetent staff.
If anyone could help with contact details on where I should start - I would be really grateful. P.S the phone company I purchased the phone from are the most incompetent staff – going back through them would be to frustrating!

- Good: Slim
light weight
Large screen
Easy to work out
large numbers and letters
fun to play the games with
easy to clean
great little pics in the menu
easy to take photos
just a fun phone
- Bad: Slow internet
No loud speaker (that I can find)
does get a dirty screen
only comes in black
I own the LG Prada phone and i actully enjoy it. At frist i did find it hard to use the touch screen especially when i got my fake nails done lol. Texting was kind of hard but once i got used to it i became speddy. I even find it harder with the buttons now when i uses other peoples phone. Now im experienced with the touch screen i love it and wouldn't go back for anything. It fits great in my small handbags and it comes with a protective hard cover so it wont get marked. I didnt go for the brand though but if u do then i think u will enjoy it just give it a chance.
- Good: Slim

- Good: looks good - stylish and of course it is Prada.
- Bad: prada symbol rubs off front, nightmare to text, wouldnt want to be in a hurry.
I had a look at this at Optus the other day, put my sim in and had a go at texting, drove me crazy in the 2 minutes I was trying to write one word! I love the look of it, but was put off by the display/dummy phone having the PRADA symbol on the front worn off??? I want to see the silver PRADA on the phone, not let it fade off....I need a new phone, but am not sold on this one.

- Good: the brand
- Bad: -a high price with quality that doesnt match.
-slow to repsond
-complicated when texting/scrolling
i only got it because of the brand.
that was a mistake.
its the most frustrating phone i have ever owned. texting is a nightmare.
i do not recommend it to avid texters!
the screen gets dirty easily, you have to constantly clean it. shouldnt use after an eaten meal with fingers! not good outcome!

- Good: looks slick
sexy touchscreen
chicks love it
its a good size
big screen
Expandable memory
good menu interface. - Bad: texting is a pain in the **** untill you get used to it. and oily fingerprints.
Prada is sexy. killer phone, your just picky. compare it to a ZTE. or a moto razor. every phone has its issues, you just have to pick the one where the issues wont affect you. even nokia's have their limitations. i like the touchscreen, and i havent used the iphone, but the LG came out first. chill out, if you paid $1000 for it, and THEN your not happy with it, then comment. if not, shut up, and stick to your crap samsungs and ZTE's.
