Entry-level 3G phone that does all the multimedia basics, but doesn't always do them well. The size and shape of the U880 will go down well, however, and you can get the phone cheaply on a monthly plan.

    • Good: Was ok until it kept dying every 5 mins.
    • Bad: Battery.

    Battery life is ridiculous. Lasted 6 mths before it needed daily charge, even then, it will last 2 hours standby and 5 minutes if using, by far the worse I've ever encountered.

    • Good: -Great colour (I have pink)
      -Good camera
      -Works fast - opening messages ect.
      -Awsome connection/reseption
      Overall I think that it is a great phone and there is no reason why you shouldn't purchase it.
    • Bad: -there simply aren't any, both me and my boyfriend have this phone (his is black) and neither one of us have had no problems with it.

    I don't know what everyone else is talking about!!!! I have had my fab pink LG U880 for over 1 year and it hasn't stuffed up once! All the features are fantstic and I am glad that I bought it.

    I use to have this phone but i had to get rid of it cos 3 is a really bad service. I kept gettin theses joke messages from some company and i was charged $2.50 for each message. we called up 3 and they did nothing about it!
    Also the phone battery didnt last long and i had to charge it every single day.
    But i really liked the design of the phone cos i had the gold roberto cavalli limited edition version which was pretty cool.
    But I really dont reccomend people to buy this phone especially with 3.

    • Good: Swivel camera
      Colour (limited ed. b&w roberto cavalli stripes)
    • Bad: Battery life less than a day, even with new battery's
      Slow response time, major delays
      Bad camera image quality
      No camera flash!!!
      Try to send sms, goes to outbox and not sent msgs almost every time and does not send. Have to take out battery & sim & restart phone. Sometimes after this msgs do still not send, annoying!!!
      Calls dropout or "service unavailable" almost every call
      "Roaming" displayed even when at home.
      Keys lose sensitivity
      Only holds 300 sms in inbox&snt items together. Wont send/receive msgs til u delete a couple
      I could go on all day about how bad it is, but i'm too busy arguing with 3 to get it replaced and/or end contract. Argh, they are hopeless!!

    Had phone for about 15 months, cannot wait to upgrade or end contract, worst, phone, ever!!!
    My down button is broken, which means i have to use the volume down button most of the time, & when it's not possible, have to go up the page until it starts at the bottom...if u get that.
    This phone is just plain stupid & useless.
    I strongly advise to avoid it at all costs!!!

    • Good: Swivel camera
      Comfortable to hold
      Solid flip action for the first year
    • Bad: Battery life
      Screen resolution
      Slow loading times
      Slow when choosing what network it wants to use
      Limited Bluetooth v1.1

      many more....

    I've had the phone for around 18 months and while it HAS had its moments where it's been worth while, I wouldn't have got it if I knew what it was going to be like

    The battery life is useless! It only lasts a day even if you never make a call.

    I have replaced the battery twice but they all go flat within a day. I wouldn't get an LG phone again!

    • Good: sturdy design,good call volume
    • Bad: Head phone cable broke within a week, the 3.5mm plug adapter broke after 1 days use, mp3 functionality is annoying, camera takes very average quality photos, battery lasts a little over 12hrs with minimal use, volume ajustment sux, volume in mp3s is crap, i cannot see why this has media buttons on the front when its mp3 player is so poor, video playback in anything but 3gp is really really bad.............I strongly advise no one buys this phone.

    Had this phone for a little over a year....
    ...............cant wait 2 upgrade cause this phone sux.

    • Bad: phonecall for a minute or sending a text! Now i can only use WHILE being plugged in!

    P.s, I think i may have the same problem as theperson who took theirs in the bathroom, i had mine on my bedside cabinet the other night and i think some moisture may have affected the charging slot as th bottle warmer i use for my baby's feeds leaked milk!
