If you're looking for a set of 2.1 speakers, buy these. It's as simple as that.

Easily the best off the shelf 2.1 PC-specific stereo setup I've heard thus far, though requires some tweaking of your sound-card and levels to get a clear non-distorted sound.
Annoying that you can't completely shutoff the bass from the control unit. And it's almost as if Logitech forgot about mid levels!
Just because it's a 2.1 system doesn't mean they cannot supply separate speakers for the mids!
Most multimedia focused desks have plenty of space.
Logitech... give us ample cable-length and we might even sit them on our shelves... imagine that! Optimizing the experience,
Anyway, despite my gripes... I used to run all of my PC sound through a cheap & tinny micro-system... frankly this is way better.
Definitely recommended this product if you can't be bothered with 5.1
For a good test-drive, try full volume and bass whilst watching a particularly hardcore scene from "No country for old men."- Good: Huge bass for an 8" woofer, Decent design though would like a keyboard like extender on the bottom of the speakers to point them downwards a bit.. Once they bed in a bit they start to shine. Volume control is large anought and LED lighting is good.
- Bad: Bass level at "zero" doesn't completely shut-off the sub. No control for mids & highs. The sat speakers need not be that small, LOGITECH please give them some lower volume to fix this!!!

Simply put, the most outstanding 2.1 speakers money can buy. Great sound quality, great looks, easy to set up, what more could you want ?
I've had mine for over 3 years now, meaning they are very durable and reliable- Good: Great sound, looks
Powers through any type of music, awsome for parties - Bad: Possibly to large for some people
- Good: Great sound, looks

I have been using my Z3, which is the precedant of Z2300, for a number of years. No complaint for its sound quality. When it is connected to a PC with a better sound card and a sound program (even the most basis one) that you could use to adjust different bands of sound, or set EQs, its performance is just perfect. The Z2300 seems to me to be better in that it has the sub's volume control migrated to the 'remote' control. I highly recommend this product.
- Good: Good sound quality, easy connection, versatile - can be used with PC, or any device with a headphone jack.
- Bad: Hardwired cabling.

The Z-2300s are some of the finest computer speakers around, offering clean, pleasant audio whatever the use. For music, which for me covers a broad range of genera including pop, rock, RnB and classical, they never fail to deliver clean, slightly warm and certainly very full sound. Crisp high end and clean mid range are complimented by a subwoofer that manages not to over power. For cinema and gaming though, the subwoofer can really pack a punch.
I would however suggest diching the cheap and nasty dust covers. They really do muffle the sound creating a hallow sound with soft high end.- Good: Clean, crisp audio
Stylish and neat design - Bad: Terrible dust covers
Non removable speaker cables (though can be extended)
- Good: Clean, crisp audio

speakers are of decent quality - Bad: cords kind of awkward, my jack cord is a bit sensitive (1 speaker drops out if its not correctly positioned), not sure y, i got 1 year warrenty anyways so meh
- Good: Massive 120wattRMS sub

I purchased it on ebay and when I recvd the box I was surprised at the size and weight of it - It must weigh between 15 to 20 Kg and it is too heavy for one person to carry for more than a minute. Logitech don't mention the weight in the specifications, as I assume that it may put off people.
My only gripe is that there is no control to increase or decrease the Treble
My son has a JBL CREATURE II set of 2.1 DESKTOP SPEAKERS, which is light weight and gives a reasonable performance and this has a Treble and Bass control on the sides of a much smaller but adequate sub woofer- Good: Sound is good
The wired remote control is very good and easy to use, but lacks a Treble control - Bad: Very heavy and Sub Woofer is very large for PC Speaker system and unless one has space under the computer desk to accommodate the sub woofer one can have problems.
No control to increase or decrease the Treble
- Good: Sound is good
