Tony Swatton, master swordsmith with a long line of film and TV credits under his belt, has forged a replica of The Legend of Zelda's Master Sword.

Whether you know it or not, you've probably seen Tony Swatton's work. The smith's swords, arms and armour have appeared in over 200 films and television shows, including Pirates of the Caribbean, The Hunger Games, Hellboy, Constantine, Mystery Men, Blade and a whole massive bunch more.

He also likes to make replicas of famous fictional weapons for his web series Man at Arms. He made an Adventure Time sword! And a He-Man sword! Even a real Minecraft Diamond Sword!

His most recent piece is one that is very dear to our hearts: the Master Sword from The Legend of Zelda.

Crafting the blade looks pretty straightforward, but the hilt is a little trickier. It was too bulky for Swatton to make himself, so he brought in a friend to sand-cast it from bronze.

The finished sword, Swatton declares, is a success, with "phenomenal" balance, looking the part while being totally functional. Who'd'a guessed that Nintendo has some kickass sword designers on the team, eh?

Check out the fascinating process in the video below, and hit up Swatton's website for more info.
