I've got the magic and I'm pretty impressed, except that vodaphone do not stock the headphone adaptors which is frustrating.
HTC should have shipped the phone with the adaptor buit vodaphone should have been on the ball too.
Also the 2 different hardware version was a bit confusing and in my eyes just plain dumb. -

Tried out the Android when I was looking for my last phone, and I was truly impressed with its responsiveness. I finally went for the iphone as I don't think the Android is completely up to scratch (although not far off.)I hate the way Apple tethers you to everything so I'll be keeping my eye on the Android over the next year or so and as soon as it surpasses the iphone, and I think it probably will one day, I'll be getting one.

I've had a HTC Hero for a week now too. Easily the best handset I've had. The HTC Sense UI really is excellent and brings together a lot of the social networking. For example, when I add a new phone number I the handset can pull off details such as pictures, birthdays onto that persona contact card. Really a solid handset so if, like me you've been holding off on the android phones, the HTC Hero might be the time to finally get one!

With the new Android phones coming out the Apple iPhone should finally have some competition. At my company glyFX we've just released some more free tab bar icons for developers to build their apps, see http://www.glyfx.com/products/free_android2.html.
