Mad Max 2/The Road Warrior, looks absolutely great, too. A prime example of how not to mess up a transfer of an older film.
PAL definitely is better than ghastly NTSC (although the speed up is a drawback), but 1080p/24fps is where it's at.
This information is muddled. PAL does not suffer from judder. Judder is an NTSC artefact from the uneven 3/2 pulldown process used to show 24fps at a refresh rate of 60Hz. PAL uses 2/2 pulldown and speeds up the 24fps to 25fps, hence PAL soundtracts are often a semitone sharp if pitch correction has not been applied.
