The last paragrah of the article is misleading. Lord of the Rings and Matrix are released by Warner Brothers (& New Line)which releases titles both on Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. Matrix has been released earlier on HD-DVD and Blu-Ray to follow while Lord of the Rings has not even been announced on either format.
Blu-Ray outsell HD-DVD in disk sales 2 to 1 in the US and In OZ Blu outsell HD 9 to 1. What's the point of leading player sales when you can't finish it off with media sales?
