Microsoft: Make our HD Photo format a standard

Software giant would turn over its image tech to a standards group in a bid to displace today's reigning JPEG format.

Any photographers who want more from images than JPEG offers, are pro's who are already shooting RAW and microsoft wont be offering anything more than the failed Jpeg2000 format. Most pros use Apple or Adobe products anyway, not Microsoft.
