What's with Microsoft re-branding all its products every 1 or 2 years as a sad attempt to re-launch them?

MSN search -> Live Search -> Bing

MSN messenger -> Windows Messenger -> Live Messenger -> what will be next?

Live OneCare -> Microsoft Security Essentials

For goodness sake, either drop these little ventures they are not fully commited to or bring us some REAL innovation and a sustainable product - these are half-arsed attempts and just a waste of resources and time for a product destined to me second tier as usual...

perhaps drop all these sub-products and focus on what they can do best: windows and office.
