While we're still not completely sold on touchscreen technology to date, there's no questioning its popularity and potential.

Is the pinnacle of mobile technology controlling it with our fingertips? Touchscreens make us feel like Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer's Apprentice in Fantastia, controlling mobile menus with the majestic sweep of a finger. Though, like the Sorcerer's Apprentice, often it's all too easy to lose control and using a touchscreen can end up being more frustrating than intuitive.

Whether touchscreens improve the useability of the handsets is a matter of personal taste, some people master the necessary skill to stab at the screen with a stylus faster than others; however, if you want to really wow your friends and colleagues then a touchscreen is definitely the way to go.

Some time i just don't understand what Cnet is on about.... Why have a "best touch screen phones", and then point out why your not convinced about touch screen phone? Just give me the "BEST TOUCH SCREEN PHONES"! So they are trying to compare the best touch screen phones but have half of these phones a keypad and QWERTY keys? Whats up with that? And then go on to give the Imate Ultimate points for having a numeric key pad? Why have they given the Iphone a bad review for being expensive? I thought this was meant to be a tech review site? If you talk Touch screen phone cnet.com.au are missing some great phones that are coming out like the Samsung Omnia?

It's hard to knock a phone that has all the current popular technologies, but it would have still been great for Nokia to consider new technologies for this latest N-Series range, particularly a media sharing networking protocol.

The BlueAnt M1 is a fantastic stereo-Bluetooth speaker that's portable, easy to use, and has great audio quality, to boot.

HTC took the Touch Diamond's glossy black frame, stripped away the touchscreen, added a QWERTY keyboard and called it the S740. This latest Windows Mobile smartphone should deliver the same business messaging punch as the popular Diamond.

Take out the Next G reception and you end up with a low quality handset at a mid-range price point. Still, it's great to see another blue tick phone for our friends in the bush to consider.

HP's latest iPAQ, the 612c Business Navigator, is a solid offering with lots of features and good battery life. It's a bland-looking and giant handset, but good performance and crisp touchscreen somewhat make up for the poor keypad.
