Game over for Nokia N-Gage

Nokia's N-Gage gaming service is set to close towards the end of 2010 as the company focuses its application downloads through the Ovi Store.

  With its latest update, Mobile Maps has become our favourite iPhone nav app, but we still have reservations about using the iPhone as a GPS navigator.

  With the highest price, fewest features and the same ol' iPhone nav problems, TomTom's app is hard to recommend.

  Navigon MobileNavigator for iPhone

  With the addition of text-to-speech and the squishing of a few previous bugs, Navigon's MobileNavigator makes sense for the occasional nav use. We still have some reservations about the whole iPhone nav experience, though.

  LogMeIn Pro and LogMeIn Ignition for iPhone

  Remote access doesn't get much simpler than LogMeIn, but don't expect it to do absolutely everything for you.

  Nokia Ovi Store

  It's got a long way to go before it catches Apple's App Store in regards to both quantity and quality of apps, but Nokia's Ovi Store definitely shows promise.

  Monopoly Here and Now: World Edition

  If you love Monopoly then you're sure to love this colourful and faithful recreation. Even if you're one of those filthy Scrabble people, you'll probably have a good time with this game.

  Fieldrunners

  If you don't mind paying for it, Fieldrunners is a fast and fun game that requires solid strategy to master.

  Spb Weather 2.0

  Spb's Weather for Windows Mobile is fantastic, but its price tag will be too rich for most people looking for an app that tells them whether or not they need to take an umbrella to work.
