The Atom Life tries very hard to bridge the gap between serious business tools and lifestyle gadgets. It's surprising, then, that it's a better business tool than fun phone.
Enterprises looking to deploy a rugged, versatile mobile device will be impressed by the Motorola MC75's range of features. However, you pay a premium for smartphone functionality in a hardened form; this phone is not only tough, it is massive to the point of being unwieldy.
HTC took the Touch Diamond's glossy black frame, stripped away the touchscreen, added a QWERTY keyboard and called it the S740. This latest Windows Mobile smartphone should deliver the same business messaging punch as the popular Diamond.
HP iPAQ 612c Business Navigator
HP's latest iPAQ, the 612c Business Navigator, is a solid offering with lots of features and good battery life. It's a bland-looking and giant handset, but good performance and crisp touchscreen somewhat make up for the poor keypad.
The Asus P750 may be chunky, but it packs in a huge array of features. Combined with an equally impressive software bundle, the result is an excellent multifunction handheld that should appeal to a wide range of mobile professionals.
The Bold is what BlackBerry fans have been waiting for. It's feature-rich and sharply designed, let down in small measure by some cumbersome software.

I am not happy with the phone. The battery life is very small. If I can improve the battery life somehow I will love this phone. Also, I need to buy some extra memory too like this phone completely.
Pros: Good looking phone
Cons: Battery Life is very low. I have to charge the phone every day.
I have problem sych with windows too.

Phone just gets worse and worse. Jams on incoming calls, will not accept messages and has poor battery life
Pros: Looks good and impresses. It is expensive so you expect it to work.
Cons: Jams, misses calls, poor battery life,

Had to choose between O2 Atom Life and LG Viewty. Decided that O2 was much more suitable for my geeky lifestyle. Facing a lot of problems trying to tap out a message with the keyboard. Low battery life added to my woes.
Still, i have to give credit to O2 for trying. It looks decent and its a pretty powerful pda. Its fast and rarely lags.
Pros: +Rarely Lags
+Aesthetically Acceptable
+Fast CPU
Cons: -Takes twice as long to key in a text msg than a conventional phone
-Power hungry mean machine.

I wonder if a different operating shell would fix any of these problems such as the spb shell? Also is there a battery upgrade for this phone?
Pros: Sounds awesome except the hangups and battery life
Cons: hangups and battery life (apparently)

I've had O2 Atom Life since August 2007, it is dreadful phone, the functionality is great but it is unreliable, crashes repeatedly, switching itself off at just 50% power and you don't even know this has happened, meaning missed calls and messages, battery life is awful, off the charger at 7am battery dead at 10.30am, less than 3.5 hours and only one phone call. When I've contacted O2 for service they make me reload the Window Software, which take forever and then you have relaod all your settings, to get the same result. They should offer everyone there money back,
Pros: Great looking unit, great functionality
Cons: Poor service from O2
Poor battery life, so poor you can barely use the device
Non stop crashes

Yes agreed that one service is second Return policy is really bad. I have been selling 02 for 5 years. I am really stupid or crazy as it cost me 10 times more to service my clients due to the issues.
But tell you this. The phone hard ware and specs are spot on.
Just about everything they mention in spec wise is right.
Why the 50% crap well
ITS PLAIN WINDOWS.
It wants everything to work thru it.
Thats why its will always lock up or always run slow or always have bad battery performance.
If Microsoft was smart!!! ok ok sorry if they listen...ok beat me now sorry again oh what the hell Had 1% brain and let IT do its work and not its marketing people then Windows CE /Mobile would have worked fine.
It still can. Let hardware do its own thing and let windows live in its own shell and let it work when it is required.
OUCH that hurt....who just hit and stabbed me. That hurt me man. Yes as I said let hardware run on its own and software run its own space.
Then the phone will have long battery life and maybe no lock ups again or no memory chokes.
Hmmm sounds like I know more about Microsoft software than others. hahaha Yes keep guess Mic"... am right in the heart of this for years. I know more to tell the truth.
KEEP MARKETING AWAY>>> let us do the right thing and the product will sell. Listen MR BILL for god sake. Microsoft technology is great despite what's been said. Just let it work its course
Pros: Get Microsoft operating system....hmmmm maybe not VISTA. Yuck
Cons: Marketing people

I got the o2 XDA atom life on the last day of 2007 and think it is awesome! It is better than any other phone ive ever seen except for the T-phone sidekick {and im not sure if thats actually any good!} the o2 xda atom life is an awesome phone and im not sure why people dont like it, it has a few slowness issues but that's it! the camera is a bit confusing to work out, that could be why people say that it is bad. you know, its just a normal 2 megapixel camera. you dont really use the camera that much anyway. The Iphone doesnt have a camera, and thats meant to be awesome!!! and seriously, to be worked up on a camera is kind of childish. A phone should mainly be used to send texts, call people and thats really about it, although phones these days have got the internet {the o2 has it}, email sending[the o2 has it} and not may phones have a touchscreen {which the o2 obviously has. I love this phone and i plan to keep it for the next year or so.
Pros: the o2 xda atom life has a cool touchscreen, has a great shape, lots of memory, a cool calculator, great internet acess, voice speed dial!, a fun game {bubble breaker}, a great recording system, great different ways to write like smart text where u can text with your fingers instead of the stylus, transcriber where you just write on the screen and it changes the writing into words on the screen and a great visual keyboard.
Cons: the phone has a few slowness issues and requires a few taps to get it to work and the volume doesnt go that loud compared to other phones. PS the battery lie is quite short but other than that, this is my favourite phone so far!

I cannot believe what i'm reading. Before i bought this phone, i was going through the net for reviews, and opinions. I was really hoping for an answer, which can make me decide on to buy or not this atom life. 50% of this ppl say its bad, 50% said its the best.
It is the best phone i've ever had...!!! I had to buy a 3G phone for an assignment overseas, and this phone had never failed me. I do not understand why ppl say it has short battery life, cause i've tested this and my xda till this moment have gone one week without recharge (6 and half days since i've writing this on a sunday afternoon), and the battery life is at 43%. Ofcourse, its the standby time, but yet, one week standby is awesome.... And i know it works cause i've jus got off the phone with someone, and i'm on roaming as well.
Believe me, its an awesome phone. I've never had a phone like this ever before. I believe the biggest problem with the phone was WM5, and the proper upgrade to WM6 solves everythin and makes this phone what i have right now.
Will not trade this xda for anythin. I'm so glad i bought it, cause other options do not come close.
And i've never had problems speaking long durations, the person on the other side have never complained on not hearing well, no restart needed, and my phone had never restarted on its own nor do i have to hard reset it.
I dont really write reviews, but my xda is worth it, and i'm disappointed with all the bad reviews. Its trully an amazing phone and worth buying. Just upgrade to WM6 with proper installation
Thank you.
Pros: The phone is just so sleek, by far the coolest. The dial option is not bad at all cause big buttons appear on the screen, and you can just dial a number with your thumb. And my so far fav, the battery standby time of one week.
Trully a nicely designed phone, very nice.
Cons: I dont really like the speakers, its not loud enough for max volume (the ringtone speakers, not the one for hearing while speaking). And higher desibles will mess the speakers up.

It's interesting reading these reviews. I have owned my Atom Life for a little over a year now, and although I consider it to be a very "sexy" phone you certainly can't rely on it. My wife has threatened to drown it several times, because the phone will either not ring, or it will reset itself while we're on the phone. I'm actually browsing the net at the moment looking for yet another ROM upgrade to hopefully fix some of the problems. I think a large part of the problem is the operating system (Windows Mobile), you need a solid operating system for these devices and Windows Mobile doesn't cut it... I'd love to go back to the Palm operating system, but I don't like any of the hardware at the moment.
Pros: A sexy looking phone,
Cons: Short battery life, unreliable, poor speaker volume. Randomly locks up or reboots (usually when you need it most). ROM upgrade descriptions that give you little idea of what has been fixed - if they're an improvement then you got lucky.
