Stylishly designed and brimming with features, these ten N-series handsets from Nokia up the ante on multimedia mobiles.

Supporting high-speed wireless technologies such as 3G, HSDPA or Wi-Fi, Nokia's N-series mobiles are built to stream video, play music, take photos and video clips, and share content easily with friends.

All feature digital cameras with a resolution of 2-megapixels or more and handle mobile Web browsing with aplomb.

Nokia raised the bar in terms of convergence earlier this year when it released the jack-of-all-trades N95. Appealing to tech-heads over phone fashionistas, it outshines even the iPhone in many ways by cramming a MP3 player, 5-megapixel camera, GPS receiver, 3G connectivity and Wi-Fi into a pocketable device.

For those that value style over an abundance of extras, however, the N76 is a beautifully thin clamshell available in high-gloss black or a fiery red case. The N73 also earns its N-series label within its good looking, candy bar design.

Music lovers will find an ample 8GB of storage inside the second-edition N91, while budding videographers will be impressed with the shooting prowess and the camcorder-like form factor of the N93i.

For Web surfing on-the-go, Nokia has released its N800 Internet Tablet in overseas markets, although it hasn't made it to our shores yet. The N92 is another N-series device on the horizon, which lets you watch mobile TV over-the-air through digital video broadcasting designed for handhelds (DVB-H).

    • LG KF700

      LG KF700

Tossing the KF700 into a mobile market obsessed with the iPhone could be a tough pitch for LG. HSDPA data speeds and multiple methods of input could be what's needed to turn a few heads away from the competition.

    • Sony Ericsson C902

      Sony Ericsson C902

Camera phones with 5 megapixels are no longer just for people with huge pockets. The C902 packs a very mean shooter into a very slim package and delivers excellent photos.

    • Apple iPhone 3G (16GB)

      Apple iPhone 3G (16GB)

Though there are still some big features missing from the iPhone, the addition of 3G and GPS, the affordable price tag, and extra features from the iPhone 2.0 software update make the handset a worthy prospect.

    • Sony Ericsson C702

      Sony Ericsson C702

There's a lot to like about the C702, sadly the Cyber-shot camera is not part of this list. People hunting for a rugged mobile phone will rejoice at this compact and attractive option.

    • Samsung M110

      Samsung M110

Like Crocodile Dundee, the M110 would be great in the bush but not so well-suited to city living. The M110 willl suit those who are bound to get the phone dirty, but its rugged exterior doesn't exactly protect a wealth of valuable technology
