Description:

Watch out sleepy-heads the W380i has motion-sensitive gesture control that can mute incoming calls, and set your alarm to snooze. A clamshell device in Sony Ericsson's Walkman line the w380i appears to have music covered, and a 1.3-megapixel camera for photo-blogging.

I own the grey model, after selling another another one of these to a friend in Brazil last month. My girlfriend has two of the purple models, the second one purchased after the first one broke and was sent for warranty repair which it is still not back from. A friend of mine owns the black model. All are Hong Kong units, purchased online in the past four months. We use the phone mainly for calls and text for which it is good; camera is not worth mentioning. The gesture control is there but never saw the usefulness of it. The headphones are messy (in two parts rather than one such as ipod headphones) which makes the Walkman function a bit useless cuz having to carry those headphones.

Pros: Compact phone, nice design, light enough, bright screen, acceptable price (we paid around 200 Australian dollars per unit).

Cons: Technically weak phone. SonyEricsson (SE) never mastered the flip phone, I've owned three Z600's in the past and all of them had problems relating to the hinges and the firmware, and the W380 is no exception. My girlfriend's phone started suffering from sudden switch-offs after just over one month, and my current one no longer has lights on the outside (the clock and the highlighted walkman keys disappeared). The only reason I keep buying SE phones is because unlike Nokia and Motorola they don't give me headaches. And the visual design is good. But if you are after a sturdy and reliable phone, I would not buy this model.

Just got this phone. Not sure if i like it? Looks nice, camera quality is rubbish, no video, basic things. May have to sell on. My other sony ericsson is much better with flash camera and better qualities.

Pros: walkman, nice design

brilliant phone if your idea of brilliant is continuosly having to remove the battery and restart the phone vdue to its random shutting down.

Pros: Looks sexy

Cons: Rubbish external speaker quality which is also too quiet. the external controls arent that easy to use and after some time you have to push them hard to work them, the lock on the back doesnt actually lock the music controls, only the FF and RW buttons. not good video capabilities, if you have a memory cards of over 1gb it takes forever to start up.

it was a great & excelent phone..great job SE!!!eventhough there is better walkman phone that has an application such as video, autofocus&flash, this phone was made for those who didn't have enough money to buy..eventhough this phone have lack of application such as video, autofocus&flash, this phone was made for walkman..the point is walkman only not on camera or anything else..
