Apple's Sydney store doesn't open to the public until 5pm this evening, but the queue for entry began with 30 hours to go. We talk to a queuer about Macs, cults and the turtlenecked wonder that is Steve Jobs.

Spending a winter night curled up on the pavement for the sake of a free t-shirt may seem rather mad, but for the assembled Apple aficionados, it's more about the shared experience — and the bragging rights.

In this video we speak to Moyzschya Belle, the second person in the queue and an Apple user since 1984.

Very scary people. One thing I want to know is how the Apple geeks can afford Apple products given they don't seem to have anything (like a job) preventing them from waiting in a line all day.

Agree. This is just ridiclous. This is a consumer toy? Have you nothing better to do, why not spend 30hours with your grandchildren, or your wife, rather then sit purposely waiting for a even more purposless item. The power of effective marketing polarisation. These people are the walking unconsious.

Surely people are entitled to do what they like with their own time? Get a life folks

It's a little slimmer and it has loads of storage, but Nokia's latest flagship model has little to justify its top-shelf price tag.

Most of our complaints about the W980 are purely cosmetic. Looks aside, this latest Walkman works well as both a phone and a dedicated music player, with a substantial 8GB of storage being the icing on the cake.
