Sony Ericsson W880i User reviews  Editors' choice

By Jeremy Roche on 28/05/2007

More Sony Ericsson reviews , RRP: AU$899.00

The good:

  • Ultra-thin design
  • 1GB memory card included
  • Excellent music phone
  • RSS reader and picture blogging

The bad:

  • Itty-bitty keys
  • Camera lacks a flash
  • No radio or support for HSDPA

The bottomline:

The Sony Ericsson W880i's appeal lies in its skinny profile and music features, although it will be too small for some.

I really like this phone - design, features everything. But the SAR amounts detailed from Sony E's site appear to high for me. May have to save a little more for the W890i.

Pros: The keys - yes the keys are great especially when a Motorola has a flat surface. Into music and this gives me what I need, when I want it.

Cons: 1) SAR, SAR SAR
2) the lifecycle of the brand would have dictated that this model include a radio, flight mode, camera flash, auto focus and the ability to pump up the storage to 4gigs.

Sony Ericsson W880 is best set for me. I always on journey so this hand set brings me more entertainment with its walk man stereo speakers. 1 gb card included in this phone so i have no any problem with shortage of memory.

Pros: Great design with stylish orange color.
Battery timing is good.
Large LCD.

Cons: Nothing special.

Great Phone. I've had it for over a year and still thought that it is still the best phone overall

Pros: Ultra thin and light. A lot of functions. batery lasts longer than the Nokias I've had before

Cons: No flash for camera. Speaker phone is a real pain - but with the bluetooth headset, then it's not a problem

It's hard to knock a phone that has all the current popular technologies, but it would have still been great for Nokia to consider new technologies for this latest N-Series range, particularly a media sharing networking protocol.
