Nokia 5800 XpressMusic
It's been a long time coming but finally Nokia has a sexy touchscreen phone. Although, does it have what it takes to make us look away from the ever-alluring iPhone?
HP iPAQ 912c
The HP iPAQ 912c defines the middle of the road. When you consider its performance versus the price, the 912c is passable but painfully average.
Sony Ericsson W980i
Most of our complaints about the W980 are purely cosmetic. Looks aside, this latest Walkman works well as both a phone and a dedicated music player, with a substantial 8GB of storage being the icing on the cake.
Nokia 6210 Navigator
While the 6210 is solidly built and features fast performance, the lack of a lifetime subscription to turn-by-turn navigation robs the Navigator of what should make it unique in the market.
Motorola RAZR2 V9 Ferrari Special Edition
There's nothing technically wrong with RAZR2 V9 Ferrari Special Edition but if you want to Ferrari-fie your phone there are cheaper and better ways of doing it. For free.
Nokia N85
It's hard to knock a phone that has all the current popular technologies, but it would have still been great for Nokia to consider new technologies for this latest N-Series range, particularly a media sharing networking protocol.
LG KF390
Take out the Next G reception and you end up with a low quality handset at a mid-range price point. Still, it's great to see another blue tick phone for our friends in the bush to consider.
Nokia E66
While we like the E71 better, the E66 is a great smartphone with class leading features. If you want the functionality of a business phone without the bulk of a PDA form factor, the E66 is the phone you've been looking for.
Samsung i560
Seeing or using the i560 is hardly a pulse-racing experience. People looking for a solid phone with navigation will find what they are looking for in the i560. Fashionistas should look elsewhere.
Motorola EQ7 Wireless Hi-Fi Stereo Speaker
The EQ7 offers exceptional playback quality and speakerphone ability, albeit at a somewhat exceptional price.
Samsung INNOV8 (i8510)
If you've been waiting for Nokia's N96 you may want to take a closer look, on paper the INNOV8 seems to be a nose ahead.
Motorola MOTO U9
Motorola's MOTO U9 would look the part sliding out of a tote bag in an inner city bar, but out of place on the boardroom table. The sleek, smooth finish houses a basic mobile with only a few common phone features.
LG KF510
The cheap and cheerful KF510 is a good-looking phone, but its interactive disco buttons don't make for a pleasant texting experience.
Samsung U900
Samsung's official phone of the Olympic games may not look especially sporty, but HSDPA, lag-free performance, and its great 5-megapixel camera help get the U900 out of the blocks and over the line.
Nokia 6220 Classic
Playing on the brunette-stereotype, the Nokia 6220 Classic is a 3G smartphone that transcends its demure looks with pragmatic appeal, a stand-out 5MP camera and assisted-GPS.
LG KF600
Are two screens better than one? The KF600's morphing touch-navigation pad is a cool concept and adds a little high-end class to an otherwise low-spec handset.
LG Secret (KF750)
Though its teeny selection key can be a bit of a nuisance, the Secret has some winning features, including one of the best 5-megapixel cameras we've encountered on a phone.
Motorola ROKR E8
The ROKR E8 looks to be Motorola's stab at the iPhone killer, with a morphing touchscreen display and media focused features.
Apple iPhone 3G (16GB)
While parts of the iPhone 3G are superb, there are still some big features missing from this device. If you add up the extras the iPhone doesn't seem like a phone that everyone can afford.
