This is honestly the best headset I've had. I don't no what all you people are complaining about. It connects flawlessly to everything I've had and tried with. Read the manual. 1) with the flip closed hold the talk button and then the LED will light up purple 2) Open the flip and search for the headset and pair it (passcode is 0000 or 1234, can't remember). DONE! Now when you want to use the headset, just open the flip, and to turn it off, close the flip. I love this headset; it's so easy to use. I've tried this headset with the iphone, motorolas, sony ericssons, and samsungs. It works and I've used it on a 2+ hour conversation with no problems. This headset is actually a bargain on ebay too. Around $20-35. My only complain is that its a little too light. The main problem is that since it doesn't fit in your ear, when i'm driving and turning, the headset sometimes moves because of the inertia. This might be because of my driving but that's my only complaint. I've kept this in my pocket with keys, change and my wallet and it didn't break. Don't listen to the other reviews. They obviously didn't even try to read the manual. Motorola makes the best products for voice quality. Anyone who owns a products knows that true. Buy it, its amazing!

    • Good: Light weight, Multi coloured LED, top of the light voice quality, good battery life, nice colours available, very stylish, flip out boom mic, connects with every phone i've used
    • Bad: a little too light

I bought an H700 13 days ago for use with my Razr. It worked great for 2 days - I could hear well and callers could hear me. Flipped it open and received the voice command prompt. Then I started getting static at times. Other times I'd open the boom but it wasn't connected to my phone. I had to delete the device, turn my phone off and on, then reconnect and bond them. It has progressively gotten worse. It started disconnected in the middle of calls and now my phone doesn't even recognize it. It's a piece of junk in my opinion. I am taking it back and looking for something else that actually works without the repeated frustrations of the H700.

    • Good: Worked great for TWO DAYS.
    • Bad: Does not work. Disconnects and is no longer recognizable by my phone. Major defect issue, IMO.

I had the HS 850 and it worked on my end reasonably well, my friends and family said it cut out on them. I sent it in for repair as the rubber grommet around the ear piece was tearing and they replaced it with the H 700. The 700 is smaller and has more features than the 850. Multi colored light reflects low battery, pairing, full charge, on phone and active. No rubber grommet on this one, lighter and feels better on the ear.

    • Good: Multi colored light, Light weight, easy pairing, looks good, and smaller than previous models. Boom on and off is a nice feature also.
    • Bad: None yet, but I will come back later and update.

I'm paired with the Samsung a920 and yes there is a bit of ambient noise but they all have this same type of audio quality. Great product

    • Good: Light weight
      No bothersome ear plug
      Long talk time.
Flip mic for on and off
Visual light change to indicate function.
    • Bad: No lighter adaptor

I pair this H700 to my Cingular/AT&T Razor V3. The static is constant. I can't even use it anymore. I've had it replaced and like others have said, it never gets better. Previously, I was using the HS850 and I have the same problem that is why I bought the H700. I am very surprised that Motorola has put out such a poor product. In theory and on paper, it is great. But, my family and friends hate to talk on the phone to me because of the horrible static. I am very disappointed and feel that I am out $$$$$. I am waiting on another replacement from Motorola, but it will probably be the same.

    • Good: Small, lightweigtht, easy to use, long battery life.
    • Bad: STATIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!, low volume and STATIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
