Speakers that let your iPod sing Apple iPod owners have many options. From FM transmitters to rubberised cases to RF remote controls to colourful socks, there are accessories galore for this iconic family of MP3 players.

One of the most popular and useful accessories designed for the iPod is the speaker system.

Some models, such as Bose's pricey SoundDock, are meant for stationary listening at home, while others, such as Altec Lansing's new InMotion iM7 boombox, are perfect for home or on the go. The small JBL On Stage cannot be used away from a power outlet, but it's got some great connectivity options.

And for those on a budget, the Logitech mm22 system lets the iPod and other devices sing to the masses. What brings these speaker systems together on a single stage are their iPod-like styling, their iPod-compatible docking systems that recharge the device (aside from the Logitech), and their ability to get a party started.
