In the world of headphones, there are countless portable models and a quickly growing number of wireless models, but the marriage of the two is in the early stage.
Call it the honeymoon period, if you like -- only in this case, it's not such a happy time in the relationship. Rather, companies attempting to provide wire-free listening in portable applications are still testing the waters.
As such, we've yet to see many portable wireless headphones that offer the right combination of sound quality, comfort, and affordability, but at least some progress is being made. (After all, headphone manufacturers must know that there's a market for this type of product ... right?)
