Creative Digital Wireless Headphones: Compare prices

By Randolph Ramsay on 21/06/2005

More Creative reviews , RRP: AU$180.00

The good:

  • Good wireless range
  • Decent sound and volume
  • Small transmitter makes it portable

The bad:

  • Poor battery life
  • Not a snug enough fit on your head
  • Chunky design for the headphones

The bottomline:

Wireless freedom is what these headphones are all about, and in that area the Creative is a winner. Unappealing design and poor battery life brings it down somewhat, however.

      Sennheiser MM 50 for iPhone

Compared to the headphones bundled with Apple's iPhone 3G the MM 50s are light years ahead. Exceptional sounding bass and its affordable price tag make the MM 50 a great choice for replacing those dodgy Apple ear buds.

      Philips SHE9850 sound-isolating earphones

An excellent all-rounder, with good detail, a balanced, warm sound and superb comfort and fit. Deeper bass and brighter treble exists in competing models, but for almost all genres of music and in most listening environments, the SHE9850s will impress and for a good price.

      Klipsch Custom-3 earphones

The Custom-3 'phones are bursting with detail, warmth and power, but their design and fit won't suit everyone.

    • Koss PortaPro headphones

      Koss PortaPro headphones

Koss hits a home run with the PortaPros. Love or hate the design, there's no denying the sound quality here: they're the ideal companion for mobile audiophiles and home cinema enthusiasts.

      Audio Technica ATH-W1000 headphones

An exceptional pair of reference headphones for the price with sonic accuracy across the board and brutal detail from upper low end to the top of the high end.
