It might only be November, but judging by the Christmas decorations adorning civic structures across the land -- not to mention the piles of catalogues being stuffed into mailboxes -- it's time to start thinking about end-of-year gifts.

Naturally, when faced with the delightful prospect of receiving a present, our thoughts go immediately to shiny new tech toys. But do our predilections for plasma screens reflect the desires of the general populace?

In the latest installment of Whaddyareckon? we ask the sidewalk strollers what presents they'd love to get their mitts on this festive season -- and hear tales of the best and worst gifts they've ever received.
