More Sony reviews , RRP: AU$269.00
It's identical to the NW-A800 series we reviewed earlier this year but the NWZ-810 series gets some healthy price cuts. The big news though is Sony's deletion of its SonicStage software -- it's now a drag-and-drop device for music, video and photos.

If you've ever been tempted by a Sony Walkman but were put off by the high prices and atrocious SonicStage software, rejoice now. The S-Series is price competitive with the iPod nano and features drag and drop. And compared to the A-Series Walkmans, it also gains an FM radio but loses the metallic body, and makes do with a smaller screen.

Thin is in, so why not pick up a space-saving MP3 player? Here are some of our picks.
Sony Ericsson Walkman phones let you rock out with style.
Have you tried squeezing blood out of a stone? How about music out of a pebble? The Samsung S2 Pebble is a screenless MP3 player with an LED just under the surface that blinks different colours as you listen to music.
The Creative Zen X-Fi is finally here, and while it fits in the pocket and sound quality is excellent, the iPod Touch is still a superior product.
Sony's new batch of Walkmans looks lovely and we're happy to see the end of SonicStage, but the features are a little bland compared to competitors' models.
The iRiver Lplayer is a very likeable player with a decent feature set and an ideal choice for anyone seeking a small and simple MP3 player for music. The best reason to choose it is its small size and intuitive navigation system.
The Pacemaker is a pricey but addictive toy for beat mixers, and a good way to experiment with song combos without having to lug records and turntables around.

Sweet sound and easy to use. I have owned 3 Sony players before. All ave broken. But, this one is tough and SonicStage is long gone.
Pros: Small, ease of use, GREAT sound and no SonicStage. It's not an iPod!!
Cons: Lack of accessories, and this is last years product line (2007). This will be replaced by the S series. Save some $ and get this one or (8GB). you won't be sorry.

For the Volume limit thing celle1977 if you go into the Home Page on the Player --> Settings --> Common Settings --> AVLS (Volume Limit) --> Then switch this off...if this isn't loud enough I suggest a visit to the ear clinic!!

I cant see any fault with this little gadget. I've had it over a week and I am very impressed with it!! I have always had iPods and they have always broken. The build quality and ease of use of this Sony is incredible. I would advise anybody to get one if they are looking for an MP3 player...the video quality is perfect. I'd give this 6* if I could. Excellent
