The second-generation Microsoft Zune media player was intended as an iPod killer, but the Zune never made the splash Microsoft had hoped it would. Which is strange, considering our inside look will reveal just how similar the two media players are.

As a general-purpose media player, the Zune is more than serviceable. It's not spectacular, but the Zune does just what you'd expect -- plays music and videos, displays pictures, and manages your media library. But the question remains: what the heck is inside?

I also noticed one of the connectors is Made by Foxconn, who happen to also make the connectors for the Xbox 360. Foxconn also assemble the Apple Ipods in China
