More Apple reviews , RRP: AU$499.00
The amazingly low priced updated Apple iPod gets many under-the-hood improvements, but it's still not a true video player.
Have you tried squeezing blood out of a stone? How about music out of a pebble? The Samsung S2 Pebble is a screenless MP3 player with an LED just under the surface that blinks different colours as you listen to music.
The Creative Zen X-Fi is finally here, and while it fits in the pocket and sound quality is excellent, the iPod Touch is still a superior product.
Sony's new batch of Walkmans looks lovely and we're happy to see the end of SonicStage, but the features are a little bland compared to competitors' models.
The iRiver Lplayer is a very likeable player with a decent feature set and an ideal choice for anyone seeking a small and simple MP3 player for music. The best reason to choose it is its small size and intuitive navigation system.
The Pacemaker is a pricey but addictive toy for beat mixers, and a good way to experiment with song combos without having to lug records and turntables around.

Extra space, more life... what is to hate?
Love it our hate it iPod is #1 and will be for some time.
Pros: More life
More space
Same price
Cons: As with all iPods the fact you cant share and use it like all other ipods sucks. Apple have again made it very hard to share music (I can see why) but if you loose your music from your computer and still have it on your ipod you need 3ed party software to get it back. But with other mp3 players it is very easy to get it back.
Also the screen WILL get scratched if you dont BUY a protector so that is another $5 ontop. Why did they not know this? Stupid i think.

American dumbass. 'I' needs to be a capital letter. The words minimizing, equalizer, authorized, and tantalizing are not spelt wrong. You spell it the American way. You spell it with a Z ( pronounced; "zed", NOT "zee" ahahaha) we Australians, spell with an s. This is an Australian website, therefore punctuation and text is obviously Australian English IDIOT. Logical thinking. Get off this Aussie website and stop correcting text because you have nothing better to do when you get home from school. Go and do your homework or something.

great product but still undecided for me
i love to run, i am worried that the ipod will b to big to lug around wen i am running. this is why the ipod nano is appealing to me more, with the extra battery life and size, i am still undecided and if any1 can help me, please do so
Pros: i love the ipod video for its video play back and all that cos i am on the move all day. overall great product and i kno it will appeal to many people.
Cons: i am worried about the playback times i often don't have time to recharge my mp3 player and am left musicless. i kno this is alot for an mp3 player but not enough for me still.

I found a few simple mistakes, this has nothing to do with what it should have to do with.
Ummmm . . . the words minimizing, equalizer, authorized, and tantalizing are spelled wrong. Also, as far as I know, the words 'nonconnected' 'nonenhanced' and 'preenhanced' are not words ar all. Maybe if what you're writing is to be published on the internet you should spell check it. People as smart as the ones that comment and understand this type of technology (which is SO far beyond my comprehension level, i'm in nineth grade and seriously inept when it comes to this stuff, you might call me 'nonconnected') would know how to use a simple Word Processing document or at least a dictionary. This is coming out a little more condescending than i meant it to, i just thought I’d let you know about those few things i found wrong in this. Now that I think of it, I probably shouldn't be posting this to be displayed as a review, but whatever, I'll ignore that fact.

I don't really like it.
I have it for few says already, I must say is not as good as expected and I don't know why people like it. It only *looks* good like all Apple products.
THE GOOD:
- plenty of storage (80GB, 60GB, 30GB)
- bright screen at least for latest 5TH generation of video ipod.
- nice wheel-tuck controls.
THE BAD:
- you don't see videos when you browse the device without the 'great' iTunes.
- you don't see photos when you browse the device files without itunes, images are stored in 512MB files called like: F1019_2.ithmb
- you don't see music folders or mp3 files while you browse the device from computer without the itunes.
- doesn't have a speaker, the click made by the wheel is the only sound you can hear without earphones.
- iTunes stops responding rather than showing a "please wait..." or "working..." message.
- doesn't have a radio, you can only access a radio if you buy additional external device (buy a radio), then you can see radio controls on ipod.
- you cannot delete files directly from ipod (without computer) ?
- while browsing images from device and you switch fast through images there ARE delays (seconds). You will notice that some images ware skipped after delay was over.
- battery is charging each time I want to copy something (general USB MP3 problem). Battery life is considerable longer if you charge it completely each time and only if was empty each time; if ipod charges each time I want to copy one song then the battery will go bad. would be nice to have an option or switch "charging on/of".
Pros: CNN likes it, good looking, big storage space, touch wheel navigation, bright screen, nice sound quality and equalizer,
Cons: access to your files is blocked, you can only delete all photos at once and only with computer. You don't see any files on computer while browsing the ipod without itunes so you cannot manage files as you want. Apple is paranoid about piracy so you can hardly manage your files.
It doesn't have a built in speaker, the only sound it makes without earphones is the click on wheel.
No radio without buing an additional device (a radio) that links to it.
DELAYS - There are delays when browsing images.

iTunes 7 benefits older 5G iPods
Been waiting for true gapless playback since I had my 5G pod last year.
Pros: GAPLESS playback on older 5G pods BIG plus (those classical, dance fans out there will understand!)
