NetComm MyLanCam NSW370W
By Pam Carroll on 08 May 2006
NetComm's NS370W captures live video images and wirelessly streams them over a LAN or the Internet for remote monitoring. Its built-in web server allows you to access the camera using a browser to control the camera or view images. It can also be set up with user-configured motion detection which can archive images or alert you via email if the camera is triggered. The wired version, NS370, at AU4$249, will save you $100.

- Good: Great camera, nice black design which makes the camera not so immediately obvious. Great image quality!
- Bad: None
Duh! Where does it say it HAS motion detection built in???
Well worth it, considering you can pay well over $1,000 for a professional LAN camera with similar features.

- Good: Affordable price, good design.
- Bad: Motion Detection is not built in the camera, but provided within a separate PC based application which requires a running PC connected to the camera at all times in order to receive captured images.
Motion Detection NOT built in!
Motion Detection is provided in software (i.e. client application running on a PC connected to the camera) and as such, it defeats the purpose of this product.
