Next-gen iPhone compass, auto-focus revealed?

A Chinese-language blog UMPCFeaver posted pictures recently that it claims are the first ever photos from a functioning next-generation iPhone. The site translated through Google displays images of the iPhone OS 3.0 running some of the rumoured new iPhone features, though this post on the site has since been removed.

According to the report, the new iPhone contains an auto-focusing camera that uses an on-screen square that can be moved around with a combination of taps and dragging to choose the object to focus on. The rumoured digital compass and its software is shown as well. Other features in the iPhone OS 3.0 that had been demoed on the site include MMS — supporting video and photos, copy and paste, the Voice Recorder app, etc.

The credibility of this group is unknown, but the features shown on the site have already been demoed by Apple and is consistent with rumours circulating around the internet about the next-generation iPhone and iPhone OS 3.0.

So what do you think? Is this the next iPhone and its new software? Let us know in the comments.

The PSPgo was rumored just like this and look how it turned out, true.
The fact is these products are all made in China so I wouldn't be surprised if one or two of these devices get leaked out.

i think this looks fairly credible. it does include many features that the original 2 iPhones left out. but then again you can never trust what you see on the internet and i've never heard of this website before.
