Nikon D80
By Philip Ryan, CNET.com on 01 September 2006
Nikon's newest midlevel dSLR has a solid feature set that should make it a favourite for experienced photographers or even for SLR newbies who crave more power than the D50's.

- Good: Nikon make great cameras
- Bad: Great cameras are useless if you can't get one.
Great Camera if we ever see one in this country
If you have to wait 10 months to get the latest model it's no longer the latest model.
Wake up Nikon there are other players coming into the market quickly and in a couple of years you'll be gone if you don't pull out your supply finger. I hope they sacked the idiot that decided NOT to have the option for a D70 battery grip. How many millions of dollars did they loose with that stupid discission? Nikon's supply problem with the D200 is discussing for a so-called professional manufacturer. -

- Good: A gret camera (D70) made even better.
- Bad: Very little.
Can't wait to upgrade to teh D80
My D70 is on its last legs, so a replacement in the D80 is fantastic timing from Nikon. I've just returned from 5 weeks in Italy with my D70 (NIKKOR 18-200 VR), and am completely in love with the camera. I can’t wait to get my D80..

D80 not out yet
How can there be opinions when the camera is only scheduled to come on in September?

Nothing new, disappointment, not anymore high syncronize speed with flash either.

Not bad but again have failed to address the dust issue. Better offerings from Olympus and Canon.
