Nokia 6151
By Dan Chiappini on 05 April 2007
It’s certainly not the thinnest or flashiest phone around, but if you value long talks, the odd happy snap and occasional Web browsing, the price is certainly right.

This is the best 3G phone for its value.

I have owned many phones over the years, and the real standout has been my Nokia 3315.
It was by far the most reliable. It may not have had all the latest wizbang features... but I loved it. I had it for years and it never gave me a moments trouble. So, when I lost it I had no hesitation in purchasing another Nokia.
My Nokia 6151 arrived yesterday afternoon, and with great anticipation I opened the box.
I have now had a play with all the main features... and overall... I am disappointed.
I think the overall design is a step backwards compared to the 3315.
If you are looking to buy a phone I think there are probably better phones out there.
It think Nokia has dropped the ball with this one. :(- Good: I quite like the calendar, and todo list features. The predictive text for messages seems much improved. I like the loadspeaker. It comes with a ringtone that actually sounds like a phone!
- Bad: It doesn't seem to be very ergonomically designed. It doesn't feel right in the hand. It seems cheaply made. The keys are too small for my big fingers. The display lighting turns off far too quickly when you are keying information/numbers into the keyboard. In power saving mode there is absolutely nothing to indicate the the phone is in fact on. The photos are very grainy...even on high quality. It comes with only three (very ordinary) themes. It didn't come with any software to change themes etc. It didn't come with a usb cable. I thought being 3g compatible I would be able to have a face to face video conversation... but I was mistaken.(My fault)
