The 6288 improves on the 6280, but while it performs well, it lacks a standout feature to pull in the punters.

  my screen broke

  • Good: cheap stuff wont be surprised if some other company made it doesnt feal like nokia isnt priced like a nokia
  • Bad: damn we are a family of nokia phone buyers but after this i might move on to every freezing sony erricsons

  I Have had this phone for 18 months and I have had it repaired 3 times. Now the camera no longer works and no back light. This is my first and last Nokia.

  • Good: Looks good. Excellent camera when it was working.
  • Bad: Constant problems.

  i think this fone is good even though i dont have one but my friend does and he lets me go on it all the time and usually try out every thing and thats why i give this fone a 8/10

  Had this phone now for 12 months & no dramas at all! All's good, camera etc

  • Good: Easy to use, volume good, large memory with card, store lots music
  • Bad: Chunky is the only problem, but hey, I can live with chunky,I'm used to it!

  This was prol the best phone Ive used so far given that it was free with my cap plan. Its a Nokia.... which is a far cry from the last piece of crap Sony erricson I had.. which was also free.. ( guess you get what you pay for)

  • Good: You can delete message recipients from the log, it had 3g which is pretty reasonably quick. Camera was great till it stopped working.Comes with a memory card which is great if youre snap happy like I am.
  • Bad: Pretty chunky.. My tight jeans have a faded patch where the phone sits in my pocket.( ok for me cos my pockets are always full of junk) After the slide mechanism is damaged, the camera wont work and it wont play vids. The screen goes black and then reboots.
    My Friend who has one too had had it repaired 3 times. My battery is Cactus after 12 months.. have to recharge after I make a ph call.

  have had the same problem as about 80% of people here, screen freezing and going blank

  • Good: not a bad phone
  • Bad: screen is crap

  Best phone ever.

  • Good: everything... almost.
  • Bad: ****ty slider, feels really plastic.

  I bought a white Nokia 6288 on 3's $29 cap for 24 months, I thought it seemed good at the time. After 2 weeks of not much use the battery got very hot and leaked into the phone and ruined it. I got another one from 3 and this time the keypad lights were'nt working so I decided not to do anything, and it eventually ended up at the store to get another one, which i get, but after a couple times of sliding it, it had a broken mechanism. I terminated the contract and everything so I paid $1100 in total, to cancel the service because 3 wouldn't allow me to change the handset to understandably abother model.

  • Good: Looks good
    Camera is nice
    Call quality is pleasant.
  • Bad: Beware of Leaking Battery
    Terrible Keypad
    Sliding Mechansim is rubbish.

  I can still answer calls but cannot see the screen. Previous to this the camera for a third time wasnt working, it would freeze on the menu, and also i could not view videos
