The 6288 improves on the 6280, but while it performs well, it lacks a standout feature to pull in the punters.

  every year nokia make their phones cheaoper and crappier

  • Good: NIL
  • Bad: My girl has trouble with the phone dropping out ... because it's made of such flimsy plastic the latch won't hold the simcard down properly ... Poorly made for such an expensive phone .. Is nokia a Finnish word for crap?

  personally i think water damage is another way of the phone company saying "the job is too expensive and we CBF doing it"

  i dont think the screen can easily broken...why...coz my dad have been using this hp for nearly a year...but my dad never complained about anything...

  • Good: the camera quality is very good compared to my phone nokia 3250,eventhough both of them are 2 mpix...the sound is also good...the 3g is also not bad...n its cheap...n it has a very beautiful design...very elegan...
  • Bad: i dont get anything wrong bout this hp...

  I think of buying this phone soon. Judging by the comments I have read the phone's screen is very bad.

  • Good: Good phone but I have a 2G SIM card and I plan to tell Optus to change it to 3G. Good overall.

  Do NOT GET THIS PHONE: I had this phone from three for about 3 months.. the battery died. Started randomly turning itself off and freezing. This of course was my fault. I then purchased a new battery and the same thing happened. The camera randomly locks up and the picture quality is poor. The most frustrating part is that it randomly locks up. WHY CANT THEY BUILD A PHONE THAT WORKS LIKE THEY SAY. ??

  • Good: Cheap on the three plan
  • Bad: - Slider gets gritty
    - severe battery problems
    - random switch offs
    - random lock ups
    - in accurate battery charge meter
    (apparently this doesnt happen to all 6288s but dont risk it)

  Had phone for 5 days, and then screen went. Told there was a crack in lcd screen, how dont know. Never been dropped or mishandled. Screen not under warranty. (why is that). Obviously they know that the screen is useless. Had to pay for repairs which was nearly the cost of the phone.

  • Good: looks nice
  • Bad: useless screen, so why do they sell it?

  i am considering getting this phone, and thought i'd look at some feedback .. now im almost scared off! from a few good reviews to some horrible ones .. makes it hard to choose .. i trust nokia phones usually, but have they let it go on this phone?
  cant decide ..
  why i do n dont want it now:

  • Good: slide feature is cool
    good music player & camera
    good tones
    Video & radio
    loads of features for a cheaper phone
  • Bad: Screen easily broken?
    Something about the buttons being bad?
    Flashing screen?
    
    will this happen to them all eventually, or are there good ones out there?!

  Got this phone on a $30 per month plan with Three just end of last year. Not a bad phone, although now its being superceded by a lot of other phones like the Nokia E65 that are now being offered by Three for the same plan. I wished I had waited just a bit longer to get a new phone.

  • Good: Loud, surprisingly good sound quality.
    Flash camera. Bluetooth - pairs well with Nokia Bh-501 headphones.
    Good battery life.
  • Bad: Sub par camera (lots of blue lines, colour looks washed out, no autofocus).
    No quad band. A little clunky by today's standards.
    A few software glitches here and there.
    Video playback has no rewind/ffw.

  Got this phone last march in 2007. the back case gets scratched easily. the camera is slow when you have lots of photos in the memory stick. laggs. battery life is good.

  • Good: battery life is good.
    charge it for an hour and it's full.
    mp3 sounds are good
    
  • Bad: sometimes laggs
    camera can be slow
