Nokia's N-Gage goes live
By Joseph Hanlon on 07 April 2008
We've been waiting patiently for the N-Gage software to go gold and today Nokia has put us out of our misery: the software is live and available for download.
Using N-Gage will make you cool, like FunTimer
For those living under a rock, the N-Gage platform is Nokia's newest online content delivery service, offering game downloads directly to your handset, or to your PC first. The N-Gage interface looks a lot like Xbox Live's, and the service could end up costing you just as much after you've paid for and downloaded all the games on offer.
As well as downloads, N-Gage lets you add friends to a list of contacts, with whom you can exchange private messages or chat. Those who don't feel like messaging on their phones can access the same functionality from their PCs.
There are currently five games available to try and buy through N-Gage: Brain Challenge; Asphalt 3: Street Rules; World Series of Poker Pro Challenge; Hooked On: Creatures of the Deep; and System Rush: Evolution.
N-Gage is currently available from the N-Gage Web site for those in possession of an N81, N82 or N95.
