Optus toys with excess charges on broadband plans

Optus has recalled "erroneous" point-of-sale brochures for its Optus Fusion home phone and broadband bundles, which state that the carrier charges for excess downloads.

I have just signed up today 8-12-07 to Optus Yes Fusion $79 package and I had to subscribe to excess charges as mentioned in your above article. So Where do I stand. There is no doubt that OPtus is charging excess after 2G at the cost of $0.15 per 1MB.

Internet is way too cheap in Australia! I mean people should have to pay at least $1000/month + a kidney to use this service. Good on Telstra for promoting internet use at a reasonable price!
