Panasonic plasmas give you Wiis
By Ty Pendlebury on 28 November 2008
Not wanting to be left out of the game, so to speak, Panasonic is bundling free Wiis with its plasma televisions in a promotion it's calling a Full High Definition Christmas.
Insert urination joke here.
We're not going to point out the obvious fact that the Wii isn't even proper standard definition as we recognise it in this country (it's 480p NTSC, and ok, 576i) but it's a decent bundle nevertheless.
The promotion begins on the 29th November and ends on the 24 December, 2008 and buyers will receive a redemption for a Wii console worth AU$399.
The eligible models include all of the 1080p plasmas in Panasonic's range, from the 42-inch TH-42PZ80A and TH-42PZ800A all the way up to the new 58-inch TH-58PZ850A and 65-inch TH-65PZ850A. Four of last year's 700 series models and the 65-inch 600 series are also included.

I purchased a TH-58PZ850A on the 3rd of Dec & tried to claim the Wii but got told I need a serial number within 14 days. To bad their is no stock of the TV until Jan. No help from Panasonic. Useless! Why start a promo when there is no stock of some TV's??? False Advertising!

The Wii can output in both 480i and 480p NTSC and 576i PAL. So while not HD, it can do SD.
