In brief

The SC-BTT790 is Panasonic's latest top-shelf, all-in-one home-theatre system. In terms of speakers , the 790 features three at the front, two wireless rear units and a subwoofer, with an output quoted at 1000W RMS.

A 3D Blu-ray player is included as part of the package; as is Wi-Fi connectivity, which allows owners to access the Viera Connect online platform, which includes catch-up TV services, like Plus7 and ABC iView, as well as Twitter, Facebook and Skype. Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) services can also be accessed by the 790's Wi-Fi connection.

There are two HDMI inputs, an iPhone/iPod dock, an SD card slot and a USB that's compatible with external drives (formatted in either FAT32 or NTFS). The system can be controlled with either the supplied remote control or via an app on Android and iOS devices.

The SC-BTT790 is available in stores now for an RRP of AU$799.
