Panasonic TH-50PZ700A

Despite a recent price drop, the Panasonic TH-50PZ700A still struggles in the face of its main competitor, the Pioneer Kuro.

Fantastic Panel
- Good: Really good HD and SD is also a delight to watch and it does support 100HZ in the setup menu even foxtel looks ok with this tv.
- Bad: Sound could be a bit better but other than that problem free.

After waiting 5 years for 1080P I finally bought all three sizes of this panel, 42, 50 and the 58. Over the last month reviewing all these panels I have to disagree with the comments of the person whom reviewed this TV. Facts are facts and as mentioned above this commentariat this panel does have 100hrtz. Now I will agree some DVD's are a little noisy but the far bulk I have tried aren't. Try Transformers or the Bourne Ultimatium, I'm sure you will agree. Playing the Pana bluray player with a blu ray disc is simply brilliant. In my humble opinion some older movies played with this HD panel will show noise. In fact I defy anyone with any current HD panel that wont show noise. This panel is the real begining point on which High Def goes forward, HD becomes a reality. Bang for buck there is not another panel on the market that beats this. Period.
- Good: Blacks are very black
100htz
One remote for the Blu Ray & Panel
CSI looks amazing
Auto colour and contrast very good
Any HD source looks amazing
Long life panel
Price - Bad: Anti reflective coat good, but could be better
- Good: Blacks are very black

My Brother in law picked one up for $3,500. Is anyone going to test the 42" model?
- Good: Great price. I remember the last Sony 86 cm widescreen CRT TV being over $4,000.
- Bad: Not able to turn upscaling off.

With the prices crashing and most leading players pulling out of the market like Hitachi and Fujitsu, I believe we have seen the price blitz stabilizing so get in there now.
- Good: Truly fantastic picture quality and black levels are better than average.
- Bad: A USB port would have bee useful.

- Bad: No wall mount included in package.

- Good: Picture Quality, Value for money.
- Bad: Reds seems a little yellow. Blacks not super black.
