The Good:Good price, Non-reflective border, excellent picture quality with natural colours

The Bad:Only has 2 HDMI inputs and the body trim looks like the TV is always frowning!

Whilst everyone else was tucking into their Easter eggs, the tribe was searching for a well priced 26 inch LCD TV for the meals area - and we found one. The Panasonic TX-26LXD8A is a well priced unit(under $770 for the Easter 09 long weekend). Despite the frowning trim under the screen, the TV looks good, with a matt finish border that doesn't distract you. The screen has all the standard view/zoom modes and is viewable even if you stand just short of 90 degrees off centre. Colour is excellent - the "normal" setting has excellent contrast, natural colour and only slight pixellation of pre-recorded content if you get within a foot or so of the screen.
A welcome relief was the sound - it was rich with plenty of volume for the average viewer. Setup was a breeze; we turned on the unit, selected our home state and less than 6 minutes later had all the available digital TV and radio content at our fingertips. Plenty of backplane connections but a third HDMI input would have been appreciated. Highly recommended LCD TV if space is an issue.
