If the leaks are to be believed, then Pentax will soon announce another interchangeable lens camera (ILC) called the K-01.
Designed by Australian industrial designer Marc Newson, the K-01 looks like it is after the same sort of crowd drawn to the retro stylings of the Olympus Pen cameras. What's most interesting is the incredibly slender 40mm f/2.8 lens that's pictured attached to the camera, and the mode dial that houses an HDR mode. See more images over at Photo Rumours.
All of this speculation begs the question: what will become of the Pentax Q, that miniature ILC with the tiny sensor? Will it co-exist alongside the K-01, which is reported to use the existing K-mount and an APS-C sensor, or will it fade quietly into the background?
The official announcement is expected to be made in the coming days.
