A Portal Lego set designed by independent designers at Team Jigsaw will be reviewed by Lego in September for possible inclusion in its line-up.

If you haven't seen Cuusoo before, you should go have a poke around. It's a website set up by Lego as a sort of idea launching pad. Users can submit their ideas for Lego sets and, if the idea gets 10,000 votes, Lego will review the product to make sure it's a brand fit, then launch it to the market.

We don't know how we missed this Portal set, but it's amazing. The submission included three sets — GLaDOS' chamber, a testing chamber and a puzzle board game — and reached 10,000 votes just two weeks after launching.

This is no guarantee that it will reach production via Lego; the company said in a blog post about its review process:

We can then potentially pick one project per quarter to put into immediate production as the next LEGO CUUSOO set. This potential set is chosen based on strategic fit and the business case from the review.

GLaDOS is magnificent.

Still, like the four men who make up Team Jigsaw say:

The two seem to mix well, Lego and Portal, the basic bricks and tiles can easily and perfectly (with a little brick math) replicate the standard setting of Portal, the iconic Testing Chambers. But for the more complex assets of the game, notably GLaDOS, there is satisfying level of difficulty, but still an elegant and representative translation. Lego and Portal will mesh nicely, each enhancing the other, the whole greater than the sum of its parts.

We'll be waiting with bated breath.
