Less than stellar print quality and glacial colour printing mar this otherwise admirable stab at shrinking the colour laser printer and making them more user friendly.

In the beginning the printer worked fine, a reasonable quality laser.
However after 5 months of light use the printer has become progressively awful. Every time I try printing the printer assumes there has been a jam and stops working, requiring it to be re-booted every time. After about 20 times the odd page will print out.
I have suffered with this for 13 months, now it doesn't print at all and I am forced to buy another printer.
it is hard to get it work using manual feed. green light flashes for long time then it prints out an error message - time out or corrupt data. toner life is much lower than stated
im a uni student and this printer does the job 10 fold. great for printing notes and assignments, color is good! had for 6mths, easy to use, cheap to run, 1 paper jam easily fixed, no other problems! does clunk on start up...
Go for a bubblejet.. They still do a great job and perform cheaper and better overall.
Pros: Cheap to buy
Cons: On-off switch is INconveniently located at back of machine. Replacement of cartridges is VERY expensive at 45-50 dollars EACH. Typically last me only 2 months whereas ancient LaserJet 4 cartridge at 139.00 will last me 14 months. Which is cheaper? I think the 1000 pages is vastly overstated. Has anyone actually tested it? Overhead transparencies printed on the CLP-300 are muddy at best on an overhead.
Cons: Started to have steaks after 3 months. The fonts looks bold even when I was using draft mode. Best I could do is to print 1000 pages per cartridge instead of 2000 pages as claimed.
Colour is not too bad for the price.
Easy to set up.
However runs very hot i.e. may not last long, but at this price, who cares, when the plastic finally perishes...throw it in the bin and buy another.
Pros: Small size,
Great value

Colour photos printed surprisingly well.
Can buy refill toner for much less than OEM
Good start into home colour printing
Pros: Price, small form factor
Cons: Noisy "clunking" as it starts up is disconcerting.

It's a lemon. Paper feeder is not working properly, and paper jams on every print run. I'll have to buy a new printer.
