Canon Pixma MP150

By Brian Haverty on 02/09/2005

More Canon reviews , RRP: AU$139.00

The good:

  • Affordable
  • PictBridge ready

The bad:

  • No memory card inputs
  • Expensive ink cartridges

Description:

Canon's entry-level all-in-one device brings copying, scanning and printing functions to the home and student user.

Users' rating:

8.5/10
Upside:
Prices for colour inkjet printers are getting ridiculously low (no doubt they'll be giving them away before long to lock you into buying consumables). Canon's entry-level all-in-one device packs in features and performance into a device that costs just AU$149.

Users can print directly from PictBridge-compatible cameras, and can create borderless prints up to A4 in size.

Downside:
If you want to print directly from memory cards, you'll have to move up to the next model.

Outlook:
The Pixma MP150 is a good, basic-level all-in-one printer, copier and scanner at an extremely affordable price.

Great printer. I have it for a year now. It is the same as MP160.

Pros: Easy to refill.

Cons: Can't find out how to reset ink level.

I bought a Canon pixma mp150 all-in-one. It was the floor model, the last one they had, it has no user guide. How do I find a tutorial on-line?

Pros: good

Cons: expensive ink cartridges

Ease of use for the novice. Just edit and print, the program puts each batch of photos into a folder, how great is that.

Pros: Great pictures the final results are just like the photo shops, only this time you have control over the editing of each photo.

Cons: The ink is expensive, there is no profit to be made by taking pohots that I can see.

In almost every aspect...Perfect!

This brilliant contraption does everything you need it to, including scanning photo's, documents, and other images, as well as prints them promptly and efficiently.
The Ink is considerably cheap, and comes in different quantities, i.e. the 4mL cartridge will print about 250 pages of word documents, and the 8mL will provide even more, but at a more expensive price. It prints considerably fast, and the software programmes provided are great to fix up scanned photo's, including the ability to remove that wretched "red eye" and the ability to clear-up the image. Al round, a fantastic product. Canon are a fantastic company that deserves an immense congratulations on this inexpensive, reliable and economic product. Much better than ANY printer I have ever had. Thankyou canon. Definetly recommend it to any person, both personal users, and small business users.
